Automotive Panel Technician

As a Bodyshop Panel Beater
you’ll carry out the preparation and body repair of car and light commercial vehicles in an efficient, skilful and safe manner achieving high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
You’ll identify vehicle areas requiring work, plan your workload to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales and in line with customer requirements and replace or repair damaged parts to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
You’ll have gained experience within the motor industry in a service or bodyshop environment or be an experienced Bodyshop Panel Beater or Panel Beater trainee keen to progress your career. 
Role & Responsibilities.
To aid the production, quality and profitability within the Panel Area.
Deliver all parts of the Panel process to a quality standard, including:
Review current and upcoming work with Production Manager,
Review parts to be ordered with parts department,
Teardown and rebuild vehicles,
Remove and repair or replace panels.
Deliver completed vehicles to compound.
Liaise with Production Manager and Estimator if additional work is needed.
Maintain and clean own equipment and its usage at all times throughout the repair process; in line with health and safety regulations.
Ensure quality control processes are all carried out; address related issues.
Monitor general housekeeping and take responsibility for cleanliness within own area of work.
Desired skills and experience.
Preferably to have previous experience of working within the Crash Repair Industry with specific technical knowledge and expertise in vehicle strip/rebuild processes and panel beating.
A commitment to own personal and professional development as a means to maintain and match technical skills with Industry advances.
Awareness and track record of demonstrating an achievement of productive targets.
Demonstrates a strong quality ethos, customer focus and a right first time approach to quality control.
Fully conversant in the use of jig equipment and MIG welding techniques.
Highly organised, with some computerised skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
A flexible approach and team player.

Smart Repair Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Smart Repair Technician to join our Mobile Vehicle Repair team. The successful candidate will be responsible for travelling to customers within the area; repairing minor accident damage including bumper scuffs, panel scratches, fill and paint, interior plastics, alloy wheels and all minor cosmetic repairs. All materials will and a company van will be provided.To be considered for this role you will need to be fully trained in all aspects of cosmetic repairs; possibly come from a body shop repair centre background.A clean driving license is essential.Key skills and requirements include: organisational skills, dealing with customers and resolving issues, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to work as a team and self motivation. Your required hours of work to attend will be 8.30am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday with half an hour unpaid lunch.  Saturday working will be one in two, 8.30 am to 1.00 pm.
